Ambassador Gao Yanping Meets with Political Advisor to the Israeli President

On October 9th, 2013, Ambassador Gao Yanping met with Mr. Nadav Tamir, the Political Advisor to the Israeli President Shimon Peres. Mr. Dai Yuming, Political Counsellor of the Embassy of China, was present.

Ambassador Gao spoke highly of the great efforts and important contributions that President Shimon Peres has made for the friendship between the two peoples and bilateral pragmatic cooperation, and briefed the latest development of the bilateral relations. Ambassador Gao also introduced the Chinese Dream, stressing that the Chinese Dream is the dream of the Chinese country, of the Chinese nation and of the individual Chinese people, which is not only beneficial to Chinese people, but also beneficial to the people all over the world, and brings a number of opportunities for the development of China-Israel relations.

Mr. Tamir said that in recent years the China-Israel relationship has maintained healthy and steady development, and bilateral exchanges and cooperation have witnessed remarkable results in various fields. Mr. Tamir emphasized that President Peres cared deeply about China and the Chinese people, spoke highly of China's great achievements, and was looking forward to visiting China at a convenient time to further promote the bilateral relations.

Ambassador Gao also exchanged views with Mr. Tamir on the situation of Middle East and the resumption of Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.
