Ambassador Zhan Yongxin Presents Letter of Credence to President of Israel

On April 30th, Ambassador Zhan Yongxin presented Letter of Credence to President Reuven Rivlin at the President’s Residence. Mrs. Talya Lador-Fresher, Chief of State Protocol of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel and high ranking diplomats from the Chinese Embassy, were present.

President Rivlin said that the friendship between Chinese people and Jewish People endured more than thousand years, the bilateral relations kept steady development and the practical cooperation in various fields got fruitful achievements in recent years. He stressed that Israeli side would like to make more efforts to further develop our bilateral relationship.

Ambassador Zhan said that Israel is an important country in the Middle East and the Jewish people has enjoyed a long history and splendid culture. Over the decades, the talented and hard-working Israeli people have blazed the trail and made remakable achievements. The long-standing friendship between our two peoples and the profound goodwill serves as a solid foundation for the growth of bilateral relationship.

Ambassador Zhan promised that he will make every effort to further enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between our two peoples and the friendly cooperation between our two countries.

Ambassador Zhan arrived in Israel on January 28th, 2015. He is the seventh Chinese Ambassador to the State of Israel.
