Guangdong Provincial Delegation Visits Israel

On November 24th, Ambassador Gao Yanping met with the Guangdong Provincial Delegation headed by Mr. Liu Kun, the Vice Governor of the Province at her residence. Mr. Zhou Guolin, Science and Technology Counselor of the Embassy of China, was present.

Ambassador Gao briefed the delegation the latest development in the friendly bilateral relations and Sino-Israel agricultural cooperation. She hopes, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Israel in 2012, Guangdong Province should fully use this opportunity to enhance the pragmatic cooperation with Israel in high technology, agriculture and other fields so as to promote mutual understanding and friendship of the two peoples.

Mr. Liu Kun said that, as one of the first provinces of China to cooperate with Israel in high technology and agriculture, Guangdong Province has reached marvellous cooperative achievements in the past, and he also emphasized there are still broader prospects and laeger potential for Guangdong and Israel to cooperate. He stressed that Guangdong Province is willing to make a good contribution to celebrate the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations by further strengthening the substantial agricultural cooperation with Israel.

During the visit, the delegation met with Ms. Simha Yudovich, the Deputy Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture to have exchanged views on how to expand the bilateral agricultural cooperation between Guangdong and Israel. The delegation also visited Maagan Michael Aquaculture Company, Netafim Dripping Irrigation Company, Qevuzat Yavne Poultry Company, etc.
