Ambassador Gao Yanping Hosts Senior Officials of the Israeli President's Office at Her Residence

On December 6th, Ambassador Gao Yanping invited Senior Officials of the Israeli President’s Office to her residence and hosted a dinner in honor of them. The Israeli guests were Ms. Efrat Duvdevani, Director General, Ms. Yona Bartal, Deputy Director General, Mr. Nadav Tamir, Policy Advisor to the President, Ms. Ayelet Frish, Media Advisor to the President, Ms. Udit Corinaldi – Sirkis, Legal Advisor to the President, Mr. Ran Simha, Economic Advisor to the President, Ms. Ofra Eshed, Advisor to the President, Mr. Yoram Dori, Advisor to the President, Ms. Sharon Sheffi, Advisor to the President on Community Relations, and Ms. Or Kornhauser, Assistant to Director General. Senior Chinese diplomats present were Deputy Chief of Mission Shi Yong, Consular Counsellor Yang Yueming, Political Counsellor Dai Yuming, Economic Counsellor Hu Ming, Military Attahce Lin Li and Mr. Yang Yonghong, Director of the Political Department.

Ambassador Gao warmly welcomed the Israeli guests to her residence, spoke highly of President Shimon Peres’ commitment and contributions to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples, and thanked the Israeli guests for their personal support for China-Israel relations. Ambassador Gao briefed the officials on the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the progress of China-Israel relations, and hoped that the two countries would seize the opportunities offered by China’s Party Congress, build upon the achievement made in the past years of diplomatic ties, and strengthen pragmatic cooperation to realize mutual benefits and common development.

The Israeli guests expressed their sincere thanks to Ambassador Gao for her kind invitation and hospitality, and conveyed Presidents’ Peres congratulations on the successful conclusion of China’s Party Congress. They appreciated China’s development and role in the international arena, and expressed their willingness to work jointly for a better future for the bilateral relations.

The two sides also exchanged views on a wide range of issues of common concern in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.
