On the afternoon of May 21st, 2012, Ambassador Gao Yanping launched the "Nanjing Day" in celebration of 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Israel at Tel Aviv University with Mr. Yang Weize, Member of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Standing Committee and Party Secretary of the CPC Nanjing municipal committee, Prof. Joseph Klafter, President of TAU (Tel Aviv University) and Mr. Moshik Lipetz, Chairman of the Sub-Committee for Asia Affairs of ULAI (Union of Local Authorities in Israel) and Mayor of Savyon Local Council. Ambassador Gao spoke highly of the cooperation between Nanjing and Israel, and emphasized that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, the Bilateral relationship had made strides in various fields including politics, economy and trade, science and technology, agriculture, education, health, culture, etc. She stressed that the complementary relationship and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries had brought win-win results to both peoples.
