On 12th January, Ambassador Gao was invited to attend the Video Conference for Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Sino-Israeli Diplomatic Relations and deliver a speech. The conference was hosted by Mrs. Ruth Kahanoff, Deputy Director-General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem and Mr. Amos Nadai, Israeli Ambassador to China in Beijing. Former Chinese and Israeli ambassadors, who had been stationed to the other country, were present respectively in Beijing and Jerusalem. Two former Chinese Special Envoys to the Middle East were also present in Beijng.
In her speech, Ambassador Gao recalled the achievements of Sino-Israeli relations made by the two countries during the past 20 years, and thanked the great contribution made by the ambassadors to the Sino-Israeli relations. She emphasized that co-operation in varied fields between China and Israel was fruitful, bringing benefits to both peoples. She looked forward to the beautiful future of Sino-Israeli relations, and was confident that the potential for Sino-Israeli co-operation in varied fields was immense and the future for Sino-Israeli relations would be brighter. Ambassador Gao also gave her best regards of the Chinese Spring Festival to the ambassadors and the correspondents who reported the conference.
The former ambassadors spoke up and expressed their congratulations to the 20th Anniversary of Sino-Israeli diplomatic relations, and their faith and confidence for the future of bilateral relations. The conference lasted for two hours and ended in a harmonious and touching atmosphere.
