Q&A on the Airline Boarding Requirement for Certificate of Negative Result of Nucleic Acid Tests
2020/08/31

In accordance with the announcement of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, foreign passengers who are to fly from Israel to China will be required to take a nucleic acid test for COVID-19 and apply for certified Health Declaration Form starting from 6 September, 2020. The following Q&A are for your reference:

1.When should I take the test?

To finish PCR tests for COVID-19 within 3 days before boarding means that the issuance date of the certificates should be within 3 days before boarding. If there is no issuance date on the certificates, the Chinese Embassy will consider the collection date on the certificates as the issuance date.

For example, if you take a flight from Israel to Shanghai on 6th September, the issuance date showed on your certificate should be 3rd, 4th or 5th September. If you take a flight from Israel to Shanghai on 10th September, the issuance date showed on your certificate should be 7th, 8th or 9th September.

2.How long does it take for the Chinese Embassy to certify a Health Declaration Form?

You are advised to apply for the certified Health Declaration Form at least one working day before the departure date. For example, applicants who are going to fly on weekdays should submit applications at least 24 hours before boarding. Applicants who are going to fly on weekends should submit applications no later than 16:00 on Thursday of the same week.
