Israeli Ambassador Amos Nadai helps with the relief work

 workOn May 26th,  Israeli Ambassador Amos Nadai expressed that the decision of Israel setting up agency in Chengdu would not change in spite of the Sichuan earthquake,"everything is proceeding smoothly according to plan".

It is said that Amos Nadai planned to visit Sichuan heading a commercial delegation and luckily escaped the disaster thanks to the postponement of a meeting. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people in the earthquake-stricken areas for their selfless aid to the Israeli students trapped in Dujiangyan and admiration of the unity and disaster relief effort of the Chinese people. Amos Nadai said that earthquake would not influence Israel's plan to establish agency in Chengdu, on the contrary, it would strength the connection between Israel and Sichuan, "We are standing together with Sichuan, with China". Amos Nadai introduced that currently the Embassy of Israel in China was calling for Israeli enterprises to provide aid for disaster relief in Sichuan, and would make all efforts to promote the active participation of Israeli enterprises in helping Sichuan in its reconstruction.
