Visa Application Notice

Documents to be Submitted:

    1. Applicant's passport (which should be valid for at least six months and has blank visa pages).

    2. An application form which is clearly filled out and with a photo taken recently glued on the upper right corner of the form.

    3. Invitation letters or other relevant documents.

Procedures:

    1. A visa application form should be filled out. The application form can be obtained by downloading from this website or from the consular office.

    2. Applicants can come to apply for a visa personally or entrust someone else to do it. But the application form should be filled out by the applicant.

    3. After submitting the passport and the application form, the applicant will be given a pink colored pickup note in which the amount of the visa fees to be charged and the date of the visa to be picked up are notified.

    4. Normally, the visa will be ready on the fourth working day after the application is accepted.

   

Pickup Date and Time:

    1. The time for visa pickup is from 9:30 am to 10:30 pm during working days.

    2. The duration of visa processing will be according to the application form filled by the applicant.

       If "After 1 working day" (urgent process) is selected, the applicant can pick up the visa at the second or the third working day the documents submitted.

       If "After 4 working days" (regular process) is selected, the applicant can come to pick up visa on the fourth working day the documents submitted.

        Please be noted that the visa fees differ in accordance with the pickup date.

Types of Visa Issued:

    According to the purpose of an applicant's visit, the main types of visa issued are tourism (L), business (F), study (X), working (Z) and journalist (J) visas.

Number of Entries:

    1. One entry and two entries visa means that the applicant can go to China once or twice within a validity period of three months which starts on the date the applicant submits his or her application.

    2. Multiple entries visa means that the applicant can enter China more than twice in the validity period of six months or one year.

    3. Multiple entries visa is only issued to those who have been to China more than once or twice in the past year. Be sure that you fill the application form correctly.

Notes:

    1. The application for a visa may be declined if the applicant fails to provide with true and complete information in the application form. The applicant shall bear all the consequences arising therefrom.

    2. The person holding X, Z, D or J-1 visa shall go through residential formalities in the local public security department in China within thirty days since the date of entry.

    3. Without approval of the relevant Chinese authorities, employment in the territory of China is prohibited.

Visa to Hong Kong SAR:

    Israeli citizens may visit Hong Kong for up to 90 days without a visa, but a visa is required for those to work, study, establish or join in any business or take up residence. Visa to Macao SAR:

    Israeli citizens may visit Macao for up to 90 days without a visa. Citizens from other counties may apply for the visa when they enter Macao. Please visit the Identification Department of Macao website: http://www.dsi.gov.mo for details.
